NCC Parks department are working in partnership with the Learning Skills Council to provide 16 – 18 year old learners with the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to prepare them for entry to Further Education, Apprenticeships or Employment.

experience working within Newcastle City Council's parklands

develop essential skills in literacy and numeracy

work towards accreditation in a range of qualifications

attend work placements with local employers

follow a foundation programme in practical environmental skills
